Experimental Design:
Does Leaf litter affect the amount of soil moisture?
Hypothesis: Based on our data from our for plot visits, it seems that leaf litter and the percent of the soil moisture have a correlation with each other. Whenever the leaf litter is high, so is the soil moisture.
Procedure: Go to the plot and take the leaf litter height. Then, take a sample of soil and test its percent of moisture. Observe the correlation between the leaf litter and the soil moisture. If the leaf litter is lower, the soil moisture should also be low. If the leaf litter is high the soil moisture should also be high.
Independent Variable: The leaf litter
Dependent Variable: The soil moisture
